Brandon M. Lê

PhD Candidate in Genetics & Genomics, Duke University

My name is Brandon, and I am a genetic epidemiologist investigating omic variability in rare human diseases.

I am a PhD candidate in the University Program in Genetics & Genomics at Duke University. I am affiliated with the Duke Molecular Physiology Institute, working with my advisor Dr. Allison Ashley-Koch on the genetic modifiers of sickle cell disease. My research interests and skillsets involve analyzing genetic data to inform questions on disease progression and comparative genomics.

In addition to research, I highly value teaching, service, and effective communication. Amongst other activities, I am in the Preparing Future Faculty program, serve as the president of the Graduate and Professional Student Government, and practice graphic design in both scientific and non-scientific contexts.
